Description
This variety of Hamigua or Honey Melon combines the high yield of cantaloupe with the disease resistance of honeydew melon. It is medium maturing, with a fruit development period of around 45-50 days. The fruits are oval or egg-shaped, with a dark green rind and fine, dense netting, giving them a beautiful appearance. Each melon weighs between 2-4 kilograms, and the flesh is orange-red, fine-textured, tender, and crisp. It has a subtle fruity fragrance and excellent taste, with an average refractometer sugar content of 16-17%. The melons are resistant to storage and transportation, immune to powdery mildew, and the plants exhibit a good overall condition with healthy leaves.
