This wok weighs about 4 pounds, much lighter than traditional cast iron wok, and heavier than thin carbon steel wok which allows even heat distributions. Like other cast iron cookware, this wok has porous micro structure which will allow oil and flavor penetration and generate a natural non-stick film (patina). This is a wok you can trust and use for many years. The more and longer it is used, the better it performs. We have been selling this pre-seasoned cast iron wok for several years and received very good feedback.
We’ve been selling this wok for two or three years and it’s been very well received. This lightweight, uncoated cast iron wok is specially designed and custom-made for the electric and induction cooktops commonly found in the North American market, making it the only one of its kind on the market. Its extra-wide, flat bottom significantly increases the contact area between the wok and the heating surface, improving heat transfer and ensuring even heating. The wok weighs approximately 1.7 kg, making it about half the weight of a traditional cast iron wok and slightly heavier than a sheet metal wok, making it very durable. The wok body undergoes four polishing processes for a perfectly smooth finish. Factory-fired at high temperatures, the surface is nitrogen-oxidized to a gray-black color, effectively preventing rust and scratching. The wok’s smooth curves create a natural transition from the side to the bottom, making stir-frying easy. The handle is a removable, comfortable solid wood handle. The casting process creates numerous microporous structures within the cast iron wok. During cooking and daily use, food aromas and fats penetrate these pores, giving the wok its signature “wok aroma” and natural non-stick properties.
