High-quality hong tai choy sum variety, with tall plants reaching a height of 50 to 60 centimeters. The leaves form a cluster with a spread of 60 to 70 centimeters, large and broadly oval-shaped, featuring thick leaf stems. The leaves have a dark purple-green color and a smooth surface. The shoots are 30 to 60 centimeters long, resembling the shape of a trumpet head, with a purple-red color, crisp and tender texture, sweet taste, and minimal fiber. It exhibits strong axillary bud sprouting, producing numerous side shoots. The entire plant can yield 20 to 30 shoots of mustard greens. hong tai choy sums are nutritionally rich, sweet, and crisp. The top-quality ones are over a foot long, about the thickness of a finger, with a purple-red color, and they become especially delicious after experiencing frost.
