Description
A popular local green vegetable variety in the Nanjing region, “Short Yellow,” is well-liked. The plants have an upright growth habit, reaching a height of 28-30 cm and a spread of 30-32 cm. The leaves are bright green, nearly circular, with a leaf shape index of 1-1.2. The leaf stalks are broad, short, and white. Both leaves and stalks are wider and thicker compared to the original parent plant. The bundle is well-formed, with a large base and compact structure. The texture is crisp, tender, and juicy, with a sweet taste. It cooks easily and has excellent edible quality. It is resistant to powdery mildew, and its cold resistance is relatively strong. The outer layer of the leaf stalk is less prone to cracking after freezing, and it recovers quickly.
矮脚黄,是南京地区备受欢迎的本地小青菜品种。株型直立,株高28~30cm,开展度30~32cm,叶形指数1~1.2,叶片翠绿,近圆形,叶柄深阔而短,白玉色。叶片和叶柄均较原亲本宽且厚。束腰,基部大,较紧凑。质地脆嫩多汁,味甜,易煮烂,食用品质好。抗霜霉病,抗寒性亦较强,表现叶柄的表皮层在受冻后不易开裂,而且恢复较快。
